Throughout the land dancers are preparing for a huge August bank holiday weekend of fun. But dancers like us know that throughout the Autumn and into the festive season there are lessons and socials to enjoy.

The selection is so wide, from ballroom to swing, salsa, breakdance and even ballet, inclusive for beginners through to dance gurus.

On Sunday 11th August, next to the bandstand in Hyde Park  to enjoy Here to Havana live.  Obviously we'll be hoping for fine weather for an al fresco dance with Londoners and visitors.

Dance to great 60s music all night long at Hampton MWB Club on Wednesday with live band, The 60s AllStars, featuring Alan Lovell, John Dee and Mick Avory.

Every Saturday you can claim £5 off the absolute beginners salsa intensive workshop at Bar Salsa in Soho with Streetbeat, who have taught salsa for over 20 years.

For Saturday 17th, perhaps the JiveTango August Party with DJ John Miller in Bookham is your sort of activity?

The London LatinFest 2019 launch party for Bank Holiday weekend is on Friday 23rd in High Holborn with a salsa/bachata themed late night lesson/party night featuring top international teachers and performers. Quote this site or show your Global Dance Card app for a £5 discount.

London LatinFest continues on Saturday, with a 4-roomed all day blow out that includes a full day of  workshops in XBody Salsa On1 & On2 , Cha cha, Afrocuban, Ladies & Mens Styling, Sensual Bachata, Bachata Fusion & Dominicana, Brazilian Zouk, Neo Zouk & Rio Zouk.

All this delivered by top international teachers and artistes.

In Paddington, Caramelo host the Saturday 31st workshops aimed at beginners and improvers, where you can learn salsa in a day or bachata in a day.

The Practica at Tango Amistoso happens every Saturday 7 pm to 10:30 pm in Islington.

The first week of each month brings the start of monthly courses in many forms of dance an so many parts of the country that it'd be silly for us to include each in the newsletter. Our suggestion is to pop onto the site for best information locally.

I haven't mentioned the 100s of the weekly lessons on site up and down the country as August is traditionally holiday time and many of the classes are held in schools that shut for several weeks.

My suggestion is to check with your local teachers and venues before waltzing up.

If your class is on and some of the students are away, then it is a great chance to get even more personalised tuition.
