What is it? Who is this for?
Bachata Sensual by Korke y Judith is one of the fastest growing partner dances in the world. Created by Korke & Judith, it incorporates body movements and isolations whilst staying true to the origins and essence of traditional bachata. These classes are for anybody who wants to learn bachata (with a focus on Bachata Sensual) and give themselves a solid foundation of the techniques required to enjoy this beautiful social dance.
What's so different?
Korke & Judith have developed their own teaching methodology and curriculum to help students learn the very specific techniques used in Bachata Sensual, and also create a better base for learning more broadly. Adem & Tamara were taught and certified in this teaching methodology directly by Korke & Judith and will be following their defined curriculum*. In order to maximize effectiveness of the learning, students will be required to commit to classes at a minimum in monthly blocks. These classes are not designed as drop-in classes.
What should I expect?
The aim is to create a fun learning environment to develop great leader and follower skills. You should expect a progressive structure designed to equip you with the techniques of Bachata Sensual.
Why Adem & Tamara
As one of the most established couples in the UK, Adem & Tamara are known for their meticulous teaching style and attention to detail. They began teaching together over 5 years ago and regularly feature as guest teachers at high profile events throughout the UK. Adem & Tamara are currently the only couple in the UK certified as official Bachata Sensual instructors.
Adem & Tamara are also the UK's most decorated bachata performers, having competed at the highest level of international competition, representing the UK in the professional categories at numerous world finals including: the World Latin Dance Cup, World Salsa Summit, World Bachata Open, Europe Bachata Masters, Bachatart World Finals, Scandanavian Bachata Cup, Bachata Spice International, and World Bachata Stars . Adem & Tamara are also UK Bachata Stars Champions (the sensual bachata competition), picking up the crown in their first competition as a couple in 2015.
Format:
There will be two levels:
7 - 7.50pm - Foundations
8 - 8.50pm - Intermediate**

Location:
Classes will be held in a dance studio at the David Game College, 31 Jewry Street, London, EC3N 2ET
The dance studio has a new, sprung wooden floor and mirrors, to create a comfortable learning environment

Cost:
The monthly cost for each level will be £35 - less than £9 per class!
What level am I?
We do not allow Foundation level students to join the Intermediate level however we do encourage Intermediate level students to join the Foundation level. Therefore we offer a discounted price of both levels of £55 per month.
You should think of 'Foundation' level as the core technique. These techniques underpin things you will do in later levels. You cant build a house and expect it to be strong if it has bad foundations. In classic styles of dance, like ballet, experienced dancers are encouraged to attend the foundation level to ensure their they continually practice their foundation technique. We also suggest this for our students in bachata. Therefore its not necessarily a question of one level or another.
Due to the specific techniques of the style and to ensure an optimal learning environment for all students, Adem & Tamara reserve the right to move students that join the Intermediate level to Foundation level where deemed appropriate

Your payment period will begin on the first date you attend and valid for one month. For example, if you attend on 22nd January 2020, your payment will be valid up to and including 21st February 2020. The payment will be be required for the full month no later than your monthly renewal date. Part payment is not permitted.
